수입하고 싶은 제품을 홈페이지에서 발견한 김대리는 제품에 대한 자세한 설명을 요구하고 있습니다. “제품에 대한 자세한 설명을 부탁 드립니다”라고 이메일을 쓰려는 김대리, 고민을 하고 있네요.

소심해 씨: Explain the product please.

신중해 씨: Tell me about a product carefully please.

거만해 씨: You should tell me about products.

 

상품에 대한 문의를 할 때 자세한 부탁을 영어로 어떻게 표현하냐고요? Detailed explanation 이나 explain in detail 이라는 표현이 적합합니다.

부탁을 할 때는 정중하게 Would you please~? 나 Could you~? 를 사용하세요.

입에 붙는 상황 패턴

1. Please explain the details of the product. 상품의 세부사항을 설명해 주세요.

2. Please tell me brief introduction of your service. 귀사의 서비스에 관한 간단한 소개를 해주세요.

 

Please tell me something about your products. 귀사 상품에 관해 말씀해 주세요.

Please tell me one or two things about your company. 귀사에 관해 한 두 가지 말씀해 주세요.

 

3. Would you please tell me your service in detail? 귀사의 서비스에 관해 말씀해 주시겠습니까?

혹은 질문을 던지면서 ‘~인지 궁금해서 문의드립니다’의 의미를 지닌 I was wondering if 를 사용해도 효과적이지요. 

 

1.    I was wondering if you could explain the details of this product. 이 상품의 세부사항을 설명해 주실 수 있는지 궁금합니다.

2.    I’d like to inquire about the product details. 상품세부사항에 관해 문의하고 싶습니다.

3.    I am very curious about the details of your product. 귀사 상품의 세부사항에 관해 굉장히 궁금합니다.
