다음은 강연 내용 요약입니다.

 

의학논문을 영어로 쓰실 때 brainstorming 단계에서부터 영문으로 기획하는 연습이 필요합니다.

 

다음과 같은 사항을 염두애 두어야 합니다.

•Key word: New? Creative? (Medical) Contributions?

•이미 이런 눈문이 출판되지 않았는가?

•이 논문의 올바른 형식이 무엇인가?

•이 논문을 읽을 대상은 누구인가?

•이 논문을 실을 적합한 학술지는?

 

투고할 논문 주제와 전반적인 내용이 준비되었다면 학술지에 투고편지를 작성합니다.

제목정하기 (Title): 

진부한 제목, 예를 들어 A study of~라던지 Observations on~과 같은 표현은 피합니다.

제목은 40자 이하로 하고 부제목은 콜론(:)뒤에 넣습니다. 부제목은 좀더 세부사항으로 제목을 다시 풀어

서 설명해 주는 기능을 합니다.

 

서론쓰기:

Do’s

•          독자에게 흥미유발, 논문을 어려움 없이 읽도록 준비해 주는 것이 목적

•          주제 설명, 의의, 중요성 서술

•          참고자료 검토, 분석, 논쟁의 여지가 있는 사항 서술

•          실험이나 조사가 추구하는 목적 필요성

•          연구과제, 목적 제시, 연구 범위, 방법 기술

•          연구목적 언급 후 서론 마무리

Don’ts

•          장황한 역사적 배경

•          교과서적인 내용 설명

•          논문 제목에 사용된 용어의 장황한 설명 

 

1. 시제: 현재시제 (facts)

2. “The authors” or “We”

Ex) - The authors tested the hypothesis that~

           - To answer this question, we assessed…

           - Our first objective in these studies was…

           - The purpose of this study was to determine…

3. 반드시 필요한 경우가 아니라면 다른 연구자의 이름을 본문에서 언급하기 보다는 연구업적(결론)등만 언급하고 이름은 참고문헌에서 참고하도록

4. 종속접속사(whether), 관계사(which, what, how)

Ex) - We did experiment to determine whether beta adrenergic agents increase lung liquid clearance in anesthesized intact adult sheep

           - We used an experimental model to decide which material to use for~

5. 질문의 나열을 번호로 연결하는 것은 피한다
