예산 및 경비 관한 협상 노하우

 

 

예산 및 경비에 관한 협상 시 다음과 같은 사항에 유의하세요.

 

1.    자금 관련 협상의 경우 민감한 내용이기에 협상분위기가 다소 경직될 수 있습니다. 따라서 예의 바른 정중한 태도를 유지하되 필요한 사항의 요구는 자신감 있게 발언할 수 있도록 합니다. 그러기 위해서 미리 근거 및 이유를 수치와 함께 준비하여 설득시킬 수 있도록 해야 합니다.

 

2.    회의시작 시 자리를 마련하고 시간을 내 준 것에 대한 감사의 마음을 전합니다.

 

3.    예산 및 경비관련 협상을 요구한 이유를 정리하여 발표합니다. 예산이나 경비가 너무 풍족하다고 협상을 하는 사람은 없을 겁니다. 자금에 관한 협상은 A측은 예산이나 경비가 부족함을 알리고 B측은 가능하면 지금 시점의 자금으로 프로젝트나 사업을 유지하려고 하지요. 따라서 이런 금액에 관련 협상은 쉽게 zero-sum 게임이라고 착각하기 쉽습니다. 즉 ‘내가 이기면 상대가 진다’라는 식의 논리 때문에 협상이 진척되기 힘든 경우가 많습니다. 하지만 자금관련 협상도 win-win 전략이 되도록 해야 합니다. 즉, 지금 부족한 예산은 양측의 사업에 마이너스 요소가 되며 따라서 서로 이익을 보기 위해 자금을 좀 더 추가해야 한다는 논리를 적용시켜야 합니다.  

 

4.    협상내용을 상대방에게 설득시키기 위해 단순히 자금이 부족하다는 것은 충분한 이유가 되지 않습니다. 현 자금으로 제대로 실행할 수 없는 사업분야의 중요성, 고객만족을 위한 고품격 서비스를 제공해야 하는 필요성 등 다양한 자료와 설득력 있는 수치를 근거로 협상에 임하도록 하세요.

 

5.    상대방이 융통할 수 있는 자금에는 한계가 있게 마련입니다. 터무니 없이 높은 자금을 요구하면 신빙성을 잃게 됩니다. 상대방이 융통할 수 있는 자금내역을 미리 조사하여 그 선에서 협상을 타결 지을 수 있도록 해야 합니다. 사업진행기간 동안 자금으로 인한 불미스러운 일이 생기지 않도록 상호이득을 생각하는 현명함을 보이세요.

 

6.    만일 양측의 협상위치가 틀려 쉽게 결론을 내리지 못할 경우 한 발짝씩 양보하여 재 협상의 의지를 보이는 것이 중요합니다. 그러나 미리 사전 조사를 하고 충분한 자료로 이유를 설명, 보충할 수 있었다면 분명히 호전적인 협상결과를 예상할 수 있습니다.

 

7.    다시 한번 강조할 사항이 있다면 협상 종료 시 명확하게 설명하도록 합시다. 경비 및 예산인상을 허락 할 경우 조건을 추가적으로 보충해야 하는 경우가 많습니다. 계약 조건을 바꿔야 하는 경우 계약서를 다시 쓰는 일정을 잡도록 하세요. 협상된 사항을 재확인하고 다시 한번 서로에게 감사의 마음을 전하고 사업에 관한 긍정적인 기대를 표현합니다.
