안녕하세요. 글로벌커뮤니케이터, 피치 마스터 이지윤 Juliana 입니다. 

지난 금요일에는 KOTRA에서 국내 자유경제개발구역 등에서 근무하는 지역 투자유치전문관들을 대상으로 

IR홍보자료 구성 및 스피치 과정을 진행해 드렸습니다. 

벌써 10회 이상 KOTRA에서 진행한 매우 인기있는 강좌로, 

투자유치에 있어서 매우 실질적인 도움을 받았다는 평을 많이 듣고 있답니다. 

이번 교육에서도 약 1주일간의 PM과정의 마지막날에 

전국 여러 지역에서 방문하신 투자유치전문관을 만나뵐 수 있었는데요.

서론: 인사, 시작

인사 : 포근하고 싱그러운 봄 즐거운 일 가득하시길 바랍니다. 오늘도 (행사명)에 참석해 주셔서 감사합니다.

자기소개  : 저는 KOTRA 해외투자 사업부의 ~입니다. 벌써 올해로 해외투자업무 16년차 전문가로 한국 지역 투자 가치를 활성화시는 업무에는 아직 신입처럼 열정이 가득합니다.

발표 주제 : 오늘은 저희 기관 방문이 처음인 분도 계시고, 투자 방안에 대한 새로운 정보를 공유해 드리기 위해 Why Korea?라는 주제로 발표를 진행하고자 합니다. 

Greetings to you all. What a refreshing and beautiful spring day to be here in IKP Seoul. Thank you all for attending this session. I am ~ from Foreign Investment Team of KOTRA. I am an FDI expert of 16 years of experience, but when it comes to revitalizing the value of Investing in Korea, my passion is like that of a newbie. I am sure some of you are here for the first time, so I’d like to share some up-to-date information on “Why Invest in Korea” to you today.

Problem Needs 문제

한국 투자가 여전히 과소평가된 이유 (마케팅, PR, 홍보의 결여, 고정관념, 정치지리학적인 불안정, 북한 문제 등). 정보의 홍수 속에서 제대로 된 정보를 찾지 못한 어려움.

해외 투자자와 투자 기업의 성공사례가 많으나 홍보되지 못함

투자자들의 문화적 차별성 이해가 부족 .’반기업’적이란 오해가 많음.

Why Korea is still underestimated when it comes to FDI. (lack of PR and marketing, stereotypes, geopolitical instability, North Korean factors, etc)

Too much info out there, but hard to obtain accurate, relevant info: this is our role here at Invest Korea.  Many success stories haven’t been shared enough. Many still think that Korea is very ‘business unfriendly’

But in fact, there are so many success stories of foreign investors. The government has supported foreign investment with many benefits and aids. Now is a very good time to invest in Korea with active FDI policy: new and existing registrations and statistics prove this.

한국은 2017년 세계은행 기업환경평가(Doing Business)에서 세계에서 4번째로 기업하기 좋은 나라로 선정됨.

입지지원: 7개의 경제자유지역,  105개 외국인 투자지역,13개 자유무역지역, 외국인투자촉진법을 통해 파격적인 조세감면 혜택, 현금지원

투자인세티브: 소득 규모에 관계없이 5년간 17%의 세금만을 부여하는 현행 소득세율 특례조치를 영구적으로 유지 (한국 내 근로자에게 적용되는 세율인 38%에 비해 절반 이하에 해당되는 특혜적 조치)

정책의 예측가능성 및 투명성 확대:  ‘외국인투자 규제정보 포털’을 개통

Invest Korea 활용:  한국 비즈니스 진출 원스탑서비스

세계적 모범이 되고 있는 옴부즈만 제도 운영

A Supportive Government:

The Korean government strives continuously to improve the investment environment for foreign investors

Site support: Investors have a broad range of locations to choose from nationwide (7 free economic zones, 105 foreign investment zones and 13 free trade zones). The Korean government provides tax breaks, cash grants and other incentives through the Foreign Investment Promotion Act.

Investment incentives: Starting Jan. 1, 2015, the measure provides income tax rate of 17% to foreigners regardless of income level, which is less than half the standard 38% individual income tax rate in Korea.

Increasing policy predictability and transparency: The Korean government opened the Regulatory Information Portal in July, 2015 in order to better reflect the opinions of foreign investors when deciding major policies.  Services of Invest KOREA: helps foreign companies enter the Korean market by providing a one-stop service … A model Ombudsman system; Foreign direct investment (FDI) coordinator system

성공 사례 : 스위스 오이겐 엘미거 (맥슨모터 CEO) 투자홍보대사

“한국은 정부와 사회가 외국인 협력 기업에게 예측 가능한 사업환경을 제공하는 최고의 국가 중 하나.. 특히 현 정부는 최근 북한과의 관계 개선을 위해 큰 노력을 하고 있고, 한반도 내 불확실성을 완화하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대되므로 새로운 사업을 시작하기에 더 매력적인 국가가 될 수 있음. 한국 정부는 중소기업과 외국인투자자에게 기업친화적인 정책을 제공하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있는데, 그러한 구체적인 정책들이 한국 기업의 잠재적인 관계자들에게 더 정확하게 고지된다면 한층 투자가 촉진될 것임. 한국의 중소기업에게 이익이 되는 몇 가지 정책이 특히 초기 설립단계에 있는 외국기업에 비슷하게 적용할 수 있을 것이고, 이는 보다 지속 가능하고 유연한 기반을 바탕으로 미래의 성공 사례로 이어질 수 있습니다.”

“Korea is one of the best countries in that the government and society provide a predictable business environment to foreign collaborators. Additionally, the current government has recently made great efforts to improve the relationship with North Korea, which is expected to help dispel the bit of uncertainty associated with the Korean Peninsula, and therefore making it a more attractive country to run a new business. The Korean government offers various business-friendly policies for SMEs and foreign investment. If these specific policies could be more rigorously advertised to potential participants in business with Korea, I think it may facilitate investment promotion further. Along the same lines, some of the policies beneficial for Korean SMEs can be similarly applied to foreign companies (especially those in initial set-up stages), which can lead to successful cases on a more sustainable and flexible basis in the future. “
