2017년도 GPF 글로벌 박사 양성 사업 특강

이번주 수요일에는 동국대학교에 GPF특강차 다녀왔습니다.

남산 근처라 산책을 하는 시민과 관광객도 많이 보이더군요.

GPF 과정 서면 평가와 면접 평가 대비 1시간 정도의 특강이었는데요.

GPF란 Global Ph.D. Fellowship 의 약자로 우수한 국내 대학원생을 선발하여, 학문, 연구에 몰입할 수 있도록 재정지원을 통한 교육, 연구 여건을 개선하자는 취지로 우수학생의 국내대학원 진학을 장려하여 대학원 연구 역량을 강화시키자는 사업목적을 가지고 있답니다.

특강 중, 많은 분들이 질문도 주시고, 신청 방법이나 영어 프레젠테이션 노하우에 많은 관심을 보여주셨습니다.

제가 GPF 사업이 처음 도입된 2010년인가 부터 대학교 초청으로 영어 면접 특강 및 지도 교수님들과 모의 면접을 시행하였기 때문에 지금까지 GPF 관련 축척된 정보 및 노하우를 공유해 드리고 있습니다.

2017년도 글로벌박사양성사업 신청요강이 나왔으니,

한국연구재단 홈페이지에서 다운로드 받으셔서 신청기간 중에 접수하도록 하세요.

올해는 작년과 동일하게 서면평가 30점, 면접평가 70점 총 100점 기준입니다.

배점 기준을 잘 보시고, 특별히 큰 점수가 부여된 창의성, 문제해결능력 부분을 고려하셔서 연구계획과 목적을 제안서 형식으로 작성하세요.

무엇보다 신청 요강을 꼼꼼하게 읽어보시고 본인의 연구 실적이나 내용을 요약하면서 정리해 보는 것이 중요합니다.

세부 평가 기준별로 정리해 드렸으니 이 부분을 영어 발표하실 때 언급하고 있는지 체크리스트로 활용해 보도록 합니다.

아래 표는 서면평가 신청서 작성시 유의사항이니 참고하셔서 작성해 보세요.

[Form 1] Introduction of Applicant	Subtitle 13 points, main contents 11 points Personal background, Purpose of doing the doctor’s course Reason for applying for fellowship (within 3 pages)
[Form 2] 1. Academic Plan	Reason and background for choosing the related department, specific major, and research advisor. The differences between your past academic objectives for undergraduate study and your new objectives for graduate study in connection with your research proposal (within 3 pages)
[Form 2] 2. Research Proposal	Research title, preceding research & achievements, research objectives, plan, expected impact, etc. (within 5 pages). ◇ Independent research projects: * Research activities for paper publication, project for on-the-spot problem-solving * Conduction of research by using domestic research equipment ◇ Enhancement of personal capability: Conference/seminar attendance; oral presentations, etc.
[Form 3] Academic Transcript	The form is applicable only to the students of Integrated Ph.D program Courses taken relevant to your research proposal. Only undergraduate courses & grades
[Form 4] Major Research Achievements	Describe up to 3 major research achievements Use any format Major research achievements: contents summary, applicant's role and importance, etc. Example: bibliography, primary contents and summary of paper, academic importance of the journal (relevant SCI and impact factor), awards, etc. within 1 page per research achievement.
[Form 5] Reason for choosing the university	Describe the reason for choosing the university - relating to study and research (within 1 page).
