나승연 대변인의 프레젠테이션 팁!

 

나승연 대변인은 IOC위원들을 설득할 수 있었던 힘의 원조는 2018명의 합창단어 하모니였다고 한다. 특별히 이번 유치 프레젠테이션을 준비하며 평소에 말할 때 뉴스를 읽듯 무미건조하게 읽는 습관을 고치고 목소리와 표정에 자연스러운 감정이 묻어나도록 '이미지 떠올리기 (imaging)' 훈련을 했다고 한다. IOC위원 중 영어가 모국어가 아닌 분들을 고려하여 짧은 문장으로 또 강조할 단어나 문장은 다른 문장보다 더 강하게 말하거나 크게, 혹은 천천히 말했다고 한다. 목소를 톤을 과정하거나 감성을 적절히 담는 것도 콘텐츠 만큼이나 청중의 관심을 끄는 데 효과적이라고 조언했다. Toby’s story highlights what PyeongChang 2018 is really all about.

It’s about giving people with desire and talent the tools they need to excel and succeed. It’s about expanding the potential of winter sports in underserved markets. A new horizons is ultimately about what the Olympic movement uniquely provides to the world, potential, opportunity, and hope.

Some have said that this is a contest between the roots of traditional winter sports and the new shores of opportunity. Some have said that the winter games need to return to their traditional markets, to be replenished.

Actually, of the 21 winter games held so far since 1924, 19 have been held in traditional winter sports markets, and 2 have been held in Asia, and none in Korea. So with any region that needs replenishment, we humbly propose that we need the winter games in Asia, to nurture the seeds that were planted in Saporo and Nagano so that they too can grow and flourish.

But this race is not about geography.

 It is a race about dreams. It is a race about human potential. I would now like to speak French.

S'appuyant sur la beauté du sport, le mouvement olympique posséde le pouvoir sans égal d'être la source de changement socio, économique, voir parfois idéologique. La Corée a pu ressentir ce pouvoir directement à 1988, et depuis plus de 10 ans, nous nous ressentent de rêve de partager cette expérience avec ce qui non pas encore eux cette chance. Nous avons déjà déclenché une série de changement positive, profonde dans Le monde en considérable de nos investissement dans de nouvelles installation sportive, des équippes, et entraîneur nouveau contribuera aux développement du sport à tous niveaux, ensuite qu'à la profession des athlètes jouent aux Olympiques et Paralympiques d'Hiver. En outre, les nouvelles vedette du sport comme Yu-Na KIM, inspire les jeunes du monde en tiers a recherché l'excellence et a pratiqué une activité sportive.

The 2018 winter games in PyeongChang will leave a unique and lasting for generations to come. Every game does. But our games will be beyond bricks and mortars, a legacy beyond potential, world records, and gold medals. Ours is a legacy that creates opportunity and potential for young people, wherever they may be, and for whatever they may dream. Today is one of the most important days in the lives of every member of our team. Although I will admit the memory of this day will be much sweeter if you choose PyeongChang. It is an honor to represent our country. But perhaps even more poignant, it is an honor to have the chance to impact the millions of young people in the future. That is something that only the Olympic movement can provide to us. And it is something that only PyeongChang 2018 can provide to you today. We know that whatever decision you make today, will be in a stored quean. Uniquely, PyeongChang 2018 offers you both a historic choice and a historic chance to bring the winter games to Korea for the 1st time, and back to Asia for only the 3rd time. And in doing so, help us to deliver the potential, the promise, and yes the hope, of PyeongChang 2018 to millions of new hearts and minds around the world. Thank you very much for your attention this afternoon, and for the honor of participating in this campaign for the 2018 winter games. And now in our last film, several of our dream program children, will share with you, perhaps better than anyone can, what new horizons truly mean.

 

토비선수 이야기 감사합니다.

토비 선수의 이야기는 2018 평창 올림픽의 정신을 말해줍니다.

재능과 염원이 있는 사람들에게 발전하고 성공하는데 필요한 도구를 주자는 것입니다. 또한, 동계 스포츠의 잠재력을 소외된 시장으로 확대시키고자 합니다. 결국, 새로운 지평은 올림픽 운동만이 세계에 전달할 수 있는 잠재력, 기회, 그리고 희망입니다.

이번 유치전을 두고 전통적인 동계 스포츠의 뿌리와 새로운 기회의 장소간의 경연이라고 하는 사람들도 있었고, 동계 올림픽에 다시 활력을 불어 넣기 위해서는 기존의 전통적인 시장으로 복귀시켜야 한다는 사람들도 있습니다.

사실 1924년 이래 개최되었던 21번의 동계 올림픽 중에서 19번은 전통적인 동계 스포츠 시장에서 개최되었고, 단 2번만 아시아에서 열렸고, 한국에서는 단 한 번도 없었습니다. 다시 활기를 불어넣어야 한다면 이번에는 아시아에서 개최해서 삿포로와 나가노에서 심었던 동계스포츠의 종자를 키워서 번성할 수 있도록 해야 한다고 저는 감히 제안해 봅니다.

하지만 이번 경연은 지리적인 위치가 그 본질이 아닙니다.

이것은 꿈에 대한 경연이고 또한 인간의 잠재력에 대한 경연입니다. 이제 불어로 이야기하겠습니다.

 

<불어> 아름다운 스포츠를 통해서 올림픽은 비할 바 없는 힘을 가지게 되었습니다. 그 힘은 사회적, 경제적, 때로는 이데올로기적인 변화를 일으킵니다. 1988년 한국은 처음으로 그러한 힘을 경험했고, 지난 10여 년 동안은 그러한 기회를 누리지 못했던 사람들과 그러한 경험을 나누고자 하는 힘을 키워 왔습니다. 저희는 이미 한국인, 그리고 저희 주변 지역을 위해서 긍정적이면서도 심오한 변화의 움직임을 이미 시작했습니다. 새로운 동계 스포츠 시설, 팀, 코치들이 이미 새로운 선수의 육성에 매진하고 있고 동계 올림픽 및 장애인 올림픽 선수들의 기량 향상을 위해서 엄청난 투자가 이루어지고 있습니다. 더욱이, 김연아와 같은 새로운 스포츠 영웅들을 보면서 전 세계의 청소년들은 사는 곳에 관계 없이 본받고, 신체 활동 기량을 향상시키고자 노력하고 있습니다. 이어서, 지금부터는 영어로 이야기하겠습니다.

 

<영어> 2018년 평창 동계 올림픽은 앞으로 수 세대에 걸쳐서 독특하면서도 지속되는 유산을 남기게 될 것입니다. 물론, 모든 올림픽 대회는 유산을 가지고 있습니다(남겼습니다).  하지만 저희의 유산은 단순한 시설이나 세계 신기록, 또는 금메달 그 이상이 될 것입니다. 어느 곳에 살건, 무엇을 꿈꾸건, 모든 젊은이들에게 기회와 가능성을 제공하는 유산을 남길 것입니다. 오늘은 저희 팀 멤버 모두의 인생에 있어 가장 중요한 날들 중의 하루입니다. 물론, 여러분들이 평창을 선택해 주신다면 훨씬 더 아름다운 날로 기억되겠죠. 한국을 대표해서 활동한 것도 영광이었지만, 미래의 수백만 젊은이들의 삶에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 기회를 갖게 된 것 또한 영광입니다. 올림픽 활동만이 저희에게 주어진 기회이고 또한 2018년 평창 올림픽만이 저희가 여러분께 드릴 수 있는 것입니다. 오늘 여러분이 어떤 결정을 하시든, 그것은 역사적인 결정이 될 것입니다. 하지만 유일하게 평창만이, 여러분께 역사적인 결정뿐만 아니라 한국에서는 처음으로, 아시아에서는 3번째로 동계 올림픽을 가져 오는 역사적인 기회까지 제공해 드릴 것이며, 그럼으로써, 2018년 평창 올림픽이 전 세계 수백만의 청소년들에게 가능성, 약속, 그리고 희망을 전할 수 있게 될 것입니다. 경청해 주셔서 감사합니다. 또한 동계 올림픽 유치 활동에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 주신 것에 감사드립니다. 지금부터 마지막 영상을 보여 드리겠습니다. 저희 드림 프로그램의 청소년들은 아마도 여러분께 새로운 지평의 진정한 의미에 대해서 그 누구보다도 더 잘 알려드릴 것입니다.
